Who this covers
This policy applies to truelinesolutions.in and the software we provide through it. "We" means Trueline Solutions, Bangalore.
Information you give us
- Contact details you submit through the enquiry form — name, phone, email, company and your message
- Documents and details you share with us for a service engagement
- Account details for software customers — name, username, email, phone and company
Information collected automatically
Our server records standard technical information needed to run the site securely: the pages requested, timestamps, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address.
We do not store raw IP addresses. Where we need to count something per visitor — free demo uses, or rate limiting to stop abuse — we store a keyed hash instead. That is enough to recognise repeat activity from the same connection, and not enough to work backwards to the address itself.
Files you process in PDF Highlighter
PDF Highlighter runs entirely inside your browser. Your PDF and Excel files are read, processed and turned into downloads on your own device. They are never uploaded to us, and we have no copy of them, no access to them and no ability to recover them.
The only thing our server records about a session is that an operation completed, so that free demo uses can be counted.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It is marked HttpOnly, SameSite and — over HTTPS — Secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you asked for
- To file applications and returns with the relevant departments on your instructions
- To manage software accounts, subscriptions and renewals
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations
Sharing
We share information only where it is necessary: with the government departments and portals your filings are submitted to, with our hosting provider as part of running the site, and where the law requires it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Retention
We keep engagement records for as long as needed for the service and for any statutory retention period that applies to it. Enquiry records and account records are kept while the relationship is live and for a reasonable period after.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be read by anyone, including us — which is why a forgotten password has to be reset rather than looked up. Database access uses prepared statements, administrative actions are logged, and the site is served over HTTPS.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you believe an account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Write to support@truelinesolutions.in.
